It’s located near Sant’Albano Stura, close to the Stura river. In a former quarry a new “birdwatchers oasis” has been created, the whole area fenced. There are two lakes around which are scattered some birdwatching huts and one observation turret. Of course the area is very well fit for dragonflywatchers as well. Logistic information can be found on the website: www.oasimadonnina.eu.

Among damselflies living in this habitat you can see Calopteryx virgo, Lestes virens, Chalcolestes viridis, Ischnura elegans, Coenagrion puella, Platycnemis pennipes, Ceriagrion tenellum and Pyrrhosoma nymphula. Among the Anisoptera Anax imperator, Aeshna cyanea, Crocothemis erythraea, four species of Orthetrum and three Sympetrum. Among the rarities: Libellula fulva. Nearby you can observe also Cordulegaster boltonii and Onychogomphus forcipatus.
